Back to Banana Bungalows...Friday 9 Nov 2012

Too much going on now...can't remember what happens unless I post my pictures and write the blog every day.
Have to find out how to reduce the kb size of each pic too, as they are taking for ever to load...
Left the Q.Mary at mid-day and headed back to the centre of Hollywood and the  Banana Bungalows for the 3rd time since we've been here.
We have to get our gear ready for the Phantom Pheast tomorrow evening, then work out how to get to Beverly Hills, then across town at 11pm after the Pheast to the movie theatre, then work out how to get home at 4am after the movie!

We noticed a Russian sub anchored next to the QM as we were leaving and checked it out. A local from Long Island bought it and it's open for viewing too.

A nice sunny day as we leave the QM...Another bucket ticked of my list!

A $6.00 meal at the best Thai restaurant in Hollywood...next door to the hostel!

We met the artist...Ron, who painted this pic a few weeks ago, on the wall of the building a few doors down.

Rather liked this command, just over the road from the hostel!

Well, that' all to-day.

We left Long Beach at 12 mid-day and took the Metro train back to Hollywood, still using our $20 week ticket and arrived back in time to have an early tea/late lunch at 2 pm.

Then we did some washing and packing as we only have 2 full days left and 3 more sleeps until I fly out to Ireland on Monday, 12 md and Val flies back to Bris at 11pm same day.

Our big Phantom night is tomorrow, so we're trying to organise travel to and from both events, the Pheast in Beverly Hills from 8pm to 11pm, then travel across town to the Vista theatre for the midnight Masquerade and showing of the film of Phantom of The Opera, with the awesome and very hunky Gerry Butler!
then we have to find our way home at 4am on Sunday morning!
